Eco-design methodology definition and G.EN.ESI platform design
This first WP aims to define the G.EN.ESI. eco-design methodology and the related software platform architecture and functions. In details the specific objectives are as follows:
-
To analyse the product design process in order to formalize a new design approach for facilitating the adoption of Eco-design methodology and tools
-
To structure the Eco-design methodology and the related design supporting tools in order to achieve a right balance between usability and robustness of results; in this way the acceptance of product designers will be high
-
To translate the G.EN.ESI. methodology in a clear architecture of the integrated software platform and also of the single software tools in order to easily manage the following systems implementation and optimization phases
-
To design the G.EN.ESI. platform in terms of software tools functionalities, flow of data within G.EN.ESI. environment and with the other systems used during the design phase (CAD/CAX/PLM etc.), eco-design knowledge management, etc.
